1Add your screenshots
Drop your app's screenshots onto the page, paste them with Ctrl/⌘+V or click Choose screenshots. Each image becomes one screen in the strip at the bottom. Use real screenshots from your app; Zupmu fits them to every store size for you.
- Click a thumbnail to edit that screen. Add more with the + tile or + Add › New screenshots.
- With no element selected, the panel shows the screen's settings. Use ◀ ▶ to reorder, ⧉ to duplicate and 🗑 to delete (you will be asked to confirm).
2Pick a layout
Under Layout, choose one of six starting points: text on top, text at the bottom, big device, tilted, no text or full image. A layout is applied to all screens and keeps the texts you have already written.
Changed one screen by hand? Copy this screen's layout to all screens repeats it everywhere, while every screen keeps its own text.
3Set the background and device frame
- Click a color swatch, or open Customize for your own gradient, a solid color or a background image (with Darken to keep text readable).
- Pattern across screens adds abstract shapes (flow, bands, orbs, lines, shapes, waves, blobs, dots, rays, stars or confetti) that run from one screen into the next. Pick their color and strength, and press ⟳ Shuffle for a new variation.
- One continuous background across all screens turns the set into a panorama. Elements can then cross from one screen into the next, for example a phone split between two screenshots.
- Under Device frame · all screens, pick a phone (several iPhone and Android styles, or a soft clay phone) or no frame, and its color. Click a device in the preview to give just that one another model, color or a 3D tilt: tablets, a laptop and a browser window are available too.
4Write and style your captions
- Click a text in the preview to select it; its settings appear in the panel. Double-click to type directly on the image.
- Wrap words in *asterisks* to show them in the highlight color, e.g. Track *every* run. Emojis work too.
- Change the font, weight, colors, alignment and size. Open Effects for a label behind the text, a shadow, an outline or transparency.
- Default text style (in the screen settings) sets the font and colors for new texts and can apply them to all existing texts.
Keep captions to 3–5 bold words: the first three screenshots are seen small in search results.
5Add more elements
+ Add in the toolbar adds a text, an image or logo, another device showing the same screenshot, a device mockup with another image (a phone, tablet, laptop or browser window that picks itself by the image's shape), or a shape: label box, rating stars, star, circle or arrow.
The Elements list in the panel shows everything on the current screen: click a row to select it, 🗑 to delete it, or use + Text and + More… to add new ones.
To make a badge such as “4.8 ★ rating”, add a label box, put a text on top of it and use ⬇ to send the box behind the text.
6Move, resize and rotate
- Drag an element to move it. Purple guide lines appear when it is centered.
- The square handle resizes. The round handle rotates images and shapes; on texts it sets the width where lines wrap.
- ⬆ ⬇ bring an element forward or send it back, ⧉ duplicates it, 🗑 deletes it. ↶ Undo reverts any change.
7Reuse a design on other screens
Select an element and open Use on other screens. Copy style applies its look (font, colors, effects, size) to the matching element on the other screens; Style + position also moves it to the same place. If a screen doesn't have that element yet, a copy is added.
To limit this to some screens, Shift- or ⌘/Ctrl-click their thumbnails first. New screenshots automatically use the current screen's layout.
8Check other sizes and devices
- The size menu on the left of the toolbar switches the preview between iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, landscape, Mac, Microsoft Store and a custom size. For Custom size, type the width and height in pixels next to the menu.
- All sizes share one layout, which adapts automatically. If a size needs adjusting, tick Own layout: changes you make there won't affect the other sizes. Landscape sizes always get their own layout.
- For tablet, Mac or Windows sizes you can use a different screenshot under Tablet screenshot or Mac / Windows screenshot. It then gets a matching tablet frame or window shape.
9Translate into other languages
- Open the language menu (🌐) and choose + Add language…, then type a code such as de or et.
- While that language is selected, edit the texts to translate them. A text you leave empty or don't change uses the main language.
- You can also set a screenshot for that language, e.g. your app's UI in German.
- Remove a language with ✕ next to the menu (you will be asked to confirm).
10Make the Google Play feature graphic
Click the wide Google Play feature graphic tile at the end of the strip. It works like a screen: click the app name, tagline, phones or icon to edit, move, resize or delete them, and add more with + Add. In its settings you can switch between Text + phones and Centered and set your app icon. It uses your background and frame, and its texts can be translated like everything else.
11Check it like a customer would
Store view in the toolbar shows your first three screenshots at roughly real phone size, in light or dark mode. If a caption is hard to read there, shorten it or make it bigger. The first three screenshots should tell your app's story on their own.
12Export
Click Export, tick the sizes you need and click Download ZIP (on the Free plan: Download free version, see Free and Pro below). You get one folder per store size (and per language, if you have several) with numbered PNG files. They have no transparency, so App Store Connect and Google Play Console accept them as they are.
13Save your work
Your project is saved automatically in this browser. To back it up or continue on another computer, use ☰ Project › Save project; this creates one file that includes all images. Open it later with Open project.
★Free and Pro
Everything in the editor is free to use. The Free plan exports up to 3 screens in one size and the main language, with a small “Made with Zupmu” badge in the corner.
Pro (, one-time payment, no subscription) exports unlimited screens in all 11 sizes and every language, adds the Google Play feature graphic and project files, and removes the badge.
- Click ★ Get Pro in the header and complete the checkout. Your license key appears on the receipt page and in your email.
- Paste the key in the same window and click Activate. Pro stays active in this browser, also offline.
- Moving to another computer? Open ★ Pro and choose Remove Pro from this device, then activate the key on the new one.
